José Luis Oliveira is full professor at the Department of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics, University of Aveiro, and co-founder of BMD Software. His research interests include text mining, information retrieval, distributed systems and computational methods in biomedicine.
He has been a regular evaluator of scientific funding programs, as well coordinator and/or researcher in international research projects, such as EMIF, IMAGE-IN, and EHDEN.
